The next phase has begun!

The next phase of the Elevate Elwood 2035 Plan has officially begun! Now that the comprehensive plan is drafted and almost ready for adoption, the planning team has started the thoroughfare and downtown plan components. The thoroughfare plan focuses on Elwood’s current transportation system and how it can be improved. The downtown plan focuses on Uptown Elwood’s current conditions and how they can be improved, specifically in terms of architectural design and economic development. Both of these plans are shorter documents that will be added to the comprehensive plan after it is adopted. Since both of these plans are shorter than the comprehensive plan, there will be limited opportunities to offer your input.
